All Massage Therapy services are provided by North Carolina licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapists.

Therapeutic Massage
Most therapists at Balance are trained in Swedish, Sports and Deep Muscle Massage. Based on your individual needs for pain relief, relaxation, stress relief or a combination of all three, the therapist will customize your massage session. Aromatherapy oils or heated towels can be added upon request.

Reflexology
This specialized treatment helps relieve stress, eases tension, and improves circulation, by restoring the body's natural balance through reflex points on the feet.

Hot Stone Massage
This massage combines the therapeutic effects of heat and Swedish Massage. Heated river rocks are used by the therapist throughout the massage to warm and loosen tight muscles while melting tension away. It is very pampering, soothing, and relaxing!

Balancing Energy Work
Unlike standard body work, which involves tissue manipulation, energy work raises your awareness and induces feelings of clarity, peacefulness, and serenity. (limited availability)

Thai Yoga Massage
Also known as Lazy Man's Yoga, this massage is done on a mat on the floor with the client fully clothed. The therapist will do an acupressure style massage and take the client though a series of stretches and yoga-like positions during the session. Thai massage helps to increase the client's flexibility and range of motion while freeing up blocked energy pathways in the body. Please wear comfortable athletic style attire for your session. Take a break with your favorite person! Experience any or all of our massage services including spa treatments in our relaxing Couple's Room.

On Site Chair Massage
Bring some much needed stress reduction and pain relief to your office. Our therapists will provide seated massages for your top producers or your whole staff. Visits are customized to fit individual companies' schedules and budgets. Minimum time required - one hour. Credit card guarantee required. Outside Guilford County, please call for quote.

Per Hour - $90

Travel Charge Per Therapist (within city limits) - $30

Outcalls
Outcall massages are available to established clients only. An outcall fee of $30 per therapist will be added to the cost of the service. We also provide in-room massages at local hotels. Please contact the hotel or Balance Day Spa to arrange.

Effective November 1, 2004, Balance Day Spa will require a credit card or gift card deposit to guarantee all appointments for services and packages. This type of policy is standard in the spa industry for both day spas and destination spas. In the event of a cancellation of less than 24 hours or "no-show" for any or all services, the credit card or gift card on file will be charged a half fee for all services canceled. For group bookings, one credit card number may be given to secure the appointments but will be charged for any cancellations or no-shows within the group. This policy has been established to insure that our service providers are compensated for the time they set aside for our clients and their guests ahead of other clients. Without proper notice of cancellations, these service providers are unable to rebook these appointments with other clients.

Please schedule your appointments with care and be sure to give 24 hours notice on all cancellations or service changes. We greatly appreciate your understanding and cooperation!
