Adriane was born and raised in Kernersville NC, leaving only for 4 years while attending UNC Chapel Hill.  Upon graduation in 1995, with a BA in Communications, she went to work at The High Point Enterprise and shortly thereafter at North State Communications in High Point.

  

In 1998, she began her life long dream of owning her own business.  She and her mother, together with long time family friend Doug Witcher (who is now her husband) started WORTH Transportation Systems, an in-home furniture delivery company, in High Point.  They grew WORTH from a start up company with a 22,000 square foot warehouse and 4 trucks to a 5 million dollar company that operated over 30 pieces of equipment out of a 75,000  square foot warehouse.  After 5 years in business, the three business partners decided it was time to change gears in life and sold the company in 2004.

   

Adriane and Doug took a few months to remodel an old house while searching for their next business endeavor.  In May, 2005, they purchased Balance Day Spa in Greensboro.  Since that time, they have grown Balance Day Spa to three Triad locations ~ Burlington, Kernersville, and Greensboro ~ with  15,000 square feet of spa space, 40 treatment rooms, more than 70 services, and 60+ employees.

  

Adriane is also a mom to two wonderful and very active children, Hayden and Sofiya, whom she adopted from Russia in April 2002.  In her free time she enjoys scrapbooking, watching her son play sports, and spending time with her family.

Kelly Swalheim joined us from Madison, Wisconsin, a dairy land native.   She knows a thing or two about the snow! 

While obtaining her Marketing Degree she worked at a full service, award winning Harley Davidson dealership. Once finished with school she was promoted to Marketing Coordinator where she was in charge of coordinating all the dealerships' monthly and annual events.

In late 2006 Kelly had an opportunity to relocate to North Carolina and never looked back. Soon after planting her feet in North Carolina she joined a new family at Balance Day Spa. Once a Spa Manager, Kelly was promoted to Regional Spa Director.  It has been an honor for her to be able to help and watch Balance Day Spa grow.  When she isn't working, Kelly enjoys the outdoors, entertaining and sharing laughs with family and friends.  She also is an animal lover and has a dog and cat at home.

Misty was born and raised in NC and currently lives in Trinity with her husband and two children (Justin and Makenzie).  She enjoys camping, crafts, dancing and spending time with family and friends. 

 

Misty joined Balance Day Spa in 2005. Once the Product Manger, she now oversees all Marketing and Public Relations. She has a way to add her creative touch on everything she does.

Deana is originally from Eden, NC and currently lives in the Triad area.  She is a 1995 graduate of UNC Chapel Hill with a BA in Psychology. Before joining Balance in April of 2008, she worked as a Supervisor for UPS.  She is currently working on her ACSM Certificate for Personal Training.  Outside of work, she enjoys working out, traveling, golf, and dinner with friends. One of the things she likes most about the Burlington location is that she gets to actually meet and talk with a lot of its clients allowing her to better understand their needs.  She is very happy to be working in an industry that promotes personal health on the inside and out.

Sara Melvin was born and raised in Greensboro, North Carolina where she completed her Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sports Science at UNCG. She enjoys spending free time with loved ones and her two dogs. There's never a dull moment with Sara, she loves to make people laugh. A firm believer that whole body wellness is created not only by eating right and exercising but also through relaxation and rejuvenation, Sara was excited to become a member of the Balance family in October 2008. She takes pride in being part of a team that promotes a healthy and nurturing environment for every special individual who walks through the door.

Brittni is a senior at UNCG where she is majoring in Hospitality and Tourism Management with a concentration in hotel restaurant management with a business minor.  When she is not in class or working at the spa, she loves spending time with her fiance and friends, watching old movies, and photography.  She enjoys working at Balance because of all of the wonderful people and to gain more knowledge and experience in the industry.

Kelley is from Stokesdale, NC. She moved to Greensboro to attend UNCG. She is currently a junior majoring in Public Health. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends; as well as going to the beach. She has a strong love for children and animals.
