St. Tropez Airbrush Tanning

A St. Tropez Spray Tan treatment gives you a fast, flawless tan in complete safety. The tan is applied and tailored by an expert. The spray tan application takes approximately 10 minutes, but allow yourself time to prepare and dress.

To ensure your tan is flawless and even, follow this simple guide:

Pre-Treatment:

• Its is preferable not to apply any type of perfume, deodorant, or aromatherapy oils on the day of your treatment as these reduce the results.
• Waxing or shaving should be completed at least 24 hours prior to the treatment to reduce sensitivity.
• The evening before your treatment, exfoliate your entire body. Pay special attention to dry areas such as hands, elbows, knees, and feet.
• Wear dark, loose fitting clothing together with a dark colored bra, or preferably no bra at all. Please be aware that the color guide can stain light hair, man-made fibers, and wool.

The Treatment:

• The treatment takes up to 10 minutes to cover the whole body. The solution will dry on your skin in just a few minutes so you can step back into your clothes straight after the treatment without rubbing the tan or toweling.
• For the short period that your face is sprayed, close your eyes and do not inhale. If you suffer from respiratory problems, please contact your doctor before booking your treatment.

Post-Treatment Advice:

• Your tan will begin to develop immediately after your treatment.
• Do not shower or bath for 6-8 hours after the treatment.
• Do not participate in any activity which may cause perspiration for at least 24 hours after the treatment.
• It is fine to leave the guide color on overnight and wash in the morning. If a little color does appear on bed linen, it is a naturally-derived dye and will wash out of cotton but not so easily from man-made fibers and wool.

Tan Maintenance Tips:

• With the correct aftercare your tan will last longer.
• Apply Body Moisturizer daily.  
• Exfoliate your skin every 3 days to ensure your tan fades away evenly.
• Do not rub, but pat your skin dry after showering or bathing.
• Avoid swimming pools as chlorine will bleach your tan.

Effective November 1, 2004, Balance Day Spa will require a credit card or gift card deposit to guarantee all appointments for services and packages. This type of policy is standard in the spa industry for both day spas and destination spas. In the event of a cancellation of less than 24 hours or "no-show" for any or all services, the credit card or gift card on file will be charged a half fee for all services canceled. For group bookings, one credit card number may be given to secure the appointments but will be charged for any cancellations or no-shows within the group. This policy has been established to insure that our service providers are compensated for the time they set aside for our clients and their guests ahead of other clients. Without proper notice of cancellations, these service providers are unable to rebook these appointments with other clients.
